Using ACE DuraFlo's “in-place” pipe restoration technology, TDT restores pipes right within the walls, without tearing them out.

I've seen this revolutionary technology used by Gary Gould's trained teams in homes, hospitals, universities, major hotels, resort facilities, apartments, industrial facilities, and even out on off-shore drilling platforms.

TDT's ACE DuraFlo system restores piping systems in half the time and with virtually no destruction when compared to a repipe. Newly restored pipes will never corrode, pit or scale.

A permanent, safe solution, in potable water systems ACE DuraFlo uses only coating materials that are NSF approved and UPC listed for safe use. Once restored, your system will no longer leach lead or copper contaminants. Your water stays pure, clean and safe to drink.

Pinhole leaks start developing, really, since the time that the water makes contact with a metallic surface. With galvanized pipe, it's going to take anywhere between 20 and 25 years or longer for them to actually develop into an actual pinhole leak.

There's basically five phases to a pipe restoration project. The first phase involves the actual setting up of the equipment, or staging of the equipment, as well as laying down the floor protection inside the home, and mapping out all the plumbing system in the house. We'll also doing a flow test at all the fixtures to get a benchmark. It will indicate as to how much corrosion may be inside a pipe.

Phase two of the project involves the actual shutting off of the water to the house. We will drain the system completely. We will then remove all the angle valve stops at all the lavatory sinks, kitchen sinks, as well the hose bibs. And we'll also disconnect the water heater.

Then we use aluminum oxide to sand blast the inside of the pipe. And what that's effectively doing is removing any corrosion that remains on that pipe. The corrosion is usually bonded to the pipe.

Then the next step in that process is the actual epoxy coating. And then we'll apply it, again, using compressed air. And that's basically going to deliver the epoxy into the pipe, allowing it to bond to the pipe. The purpose of this is to actually put a barrier coating between metallic surface of the pipe and the water.

Once water makes contact with that surface, the corrosion process begins day one. The epoxy coating is actually going to improve the quality of the water, because now instead of having this corrosion that the water's going through, you'll have a nice coated pipe.

The last phase of it is actually the testing of the system. We ensure that there aren't any leaks of any kind in the system. And once it passes, then the final step is basically cleaning up, and then having a walk-through with our customer to make sure that everything's in order.

But the beauty about the ACE Duraflo epoxy coating process is that we don't have to do any wall demolition or ceiling demolition.

Keep your water flowing the easy way with TDT ACE Duraflo technology. It's like getting new pipes without shredding your sheetrock.
